Logan Sings With Maplewood First Grade

Logan and his fellow first graders at Maplewood Elementary sang Christmas carols at a local mall today. He's in the second row from the bottom, third person in from the right. It was very adorable, and all the kids did really well.

In the first song, "Santa Have You Had the Measles," the kids turn around and put dot stickers all over their faces to look like measles.

And one more song.

Camping site in the Tatoosh range

No sound on this, but this was our campsite in the Tatoosh. No one else around, except a few critters. A coyote came through our camp that night, and we saw lots of signs of bears in the fields of huckleberries.

Climbing in the Tatoosh

Roger and I went climbing a few weeks ago on a Tatoosh traverse. The Tatoosh are a mountain range in the Mt. Rainier National Park. We had very sunny, warm weather and climbed four peaks: Pinnacle, Plummer, Denman, and Lane. Pinnacle and Lane were the two more technical rock routes. We scrambled up Pinnacle without a rope, and I wish we had one for the descent. Lane seemed like very low 5th class. We climbed without the rope, but did two rappels on the way down. That was a very fun climb, after a long day of climbing and traversing with heavy overnight packs.

Tee Ball and Soccer

Logan played on a tee ball team earlier this summer, and now he's on a soccer team. He liked the tee ball by the end of the season, and he's starting to figure out soccer. He likes the soccer uniform and he runs a lot during the games.
